Keep the grass cut move more mowing

This has been a tough summer to keep up with lawn mowing. I like to move more mowing to accomplishing a real thing and get exercise.   In New England yard work is a constant part of home maintenance.  Where I live it has just been too hot for me to mow. Last week I said, I just gotta get out there, the grass is long enough to make me nervous.  Mowing the lawn is a big deal, short grass helps control ticks.

I so appreciate, that I am strong enough to manage an hour or two of the aerobic work and vibration of pushing a gas powered mower. For years it hurt way too much, to go there. I was afraid I would never be able to do yard work again.

Pushing a grocery cart exhausted me, raking and mowing was much too strenuous to think about. Recovering abilities I thought were gone, reopened my world. My capacity to move more is expanding as I rebuild strength. Is Yours? Mowing is on my can do list again and I am thrilled.

I get move more mowing the lawn as part of my day.  I gear up to protect me from tick exposure.  I wear layers and tuck my pants into my socks and my inner shirt into my pants. My over shirt stays un-tucked. I wear long gloves, a hat and ear muffs for hearing protection. You probably can see why I don’t mow when it is in the upper nineties… When done, I inspect strip down and throw everything in the dryer to kill any ticks with heat.
